We are trialling a new referral programme for backers! All you need to do to claim your FREE Willow Mini and Digital Encounter Pack is to refer a friend! After they back and the campaign ends, they simply need to put the email address and name attached to your Backerkit account in the “REFERRAL” section in their post-campaign survey. We will then verify and add the free referral rewards to each of your pledges, as determined by the pledged tier! (T&Cs below*)

Here are the rewards you and any backers you refer will receive, based on your level of pledge:

WILLOW THE WITCH - RESIN MINIATURE

Brewed in the cauldron of backer imagination, now brought into the mortal realm! This gorgeous 28mm resin miniature of Willow the Witch comes ready to paint and play.

As backers guide Willow to change and discover new items via the “Choose Thy Adventure” polls , the miniature’s design will change and evolve to reflect those choices! The final upgraded miniature will be unveiled after the conclusion of her thrilling adventure, reflecting Willow’s final form as decided by you!

Both Willow’s “vanilla” and “upgraded” version will be included STL referral rewards.

What’s included in the Exclusive Encounter Pack?

The exclusive encounter pack includes an illustrated 5+ page PDF that features an encounter with Willow the Witch! It includes NPC stats & a playable character sheet for Willow, an illustrated battlemap, digital tokens, and unique encounter rewards!

Can I get the Willow mini without referring?

Of course! The Willow the Witch resin mini is now also available as a physical Add-On for all backers. However, the STL and Encounter pack are exclusive to this referral programme.

What is a Backerkit/Post-campaign Survey?

For backers new to Backerkit, A Backerkit post-campaign survey is a questionnaire sent to you after a crowdfunding campaign ends to gather important fulfilment details. Surveys are how we collect shipping, payment, and feedback information post-campaign. The Faerie survey will have a dedicated referral section for your referred backer to input your information, we will then independently verify and add referral rewards to pledges during fulfilment.

*Terms & Conditions
Physical Tier Referral Backers are entitled to only 1 free miniature during the campaign. You can only refer backers who have yet to back Faerie; Backers who cancel their pledges and re-pledge are not considered new backers for this purpose, alternate accounts included. “Digital and Physical Tier Backers” refers to those that back at a tier of that category, backing a digital tier and adding physical add-ons under the value of £35 does not count as a “Physical Tier” for the purpose of receiving your physical referral reward. Upgrading your pledge to physical in the post-campaign survey will allow you to qualify for the physical mini, even if you originally backed and referred whilst at a digital only pledge. Physical additions to your pledge such as the Willow the Witch resin mini may marginally impact shipping cost dependant on your existing order and location.

Hail and well met Wanderers,

Before we continue with news of Willow’s adventure, I first must titillate thou with but a tease of things yet to come. Very soon I shall arrive to herald grand news, Willow is getting her very own resin miniature! And better yet, thou can receive it for FREE through our upcoming referral programme…

I shall speak no more on it for now! Instead let us waste no more time and rejoin Willow on her journey, willed on by thine own choices, she has made her decision and fate hath rolled its die:

“Thine eyes dart between the most hospitable pisky and her enchanted prisoner, something uneasy stirs within thy heart and on instinct alone thy raise thy hand and lay upon the pisky a hex of elder magic! Sigils weave in the dark forest air and cling to the creature, but first fate must roll its die, add thy +3 modifier, and determine thy success:

SUCCESS! With a 15 total (12+3) thy words ring powerfully and thy hex strikes true, the pisky loses her grip on the enchantment and turns upon you in a rage. A curse dances upon her lips for a moment, but her conjuration is cut suddenly and violently short with a loud thunderous clap. Warm viscera sprays across thy face, and clearing thy eyes you see the large brutish creature peeling apart its meaty hands in the space where the pisky once floated. 

You and the figure hold for a tense moment, before the large figure bows its head in a manner most courtly. It silently moves to a space behind a nearby tree and retrieves the “lantern” the pisky had mentioned, which upon reveal looks to be little more than a mundane crystal flask obfuscated in a now fading glamour. It squeezes its blood soaked hands into the flask, and the sparkling remains of the once delicate pisky drain into it. It hands you the flask (ITEM DISCOVERED: Phial of Pisky Blood - Details below), and points in the opposite direction to one the pisky had indicated. A low rumbling voice echos from the helm, telling you the hag has many tricksters in her employ, and that this pisky was merely the beginning. It then speaks a final 4 exhausted, but grateful, words:

𝖙𝖍𝖔𝖚 𝖉𝖎𝖉𝖓’𝖙 𝖙𝖍𝖎𝖓𝖐 𝖎𝖙 𝖙𝖍𝖆𝖙 𝖊𝖆𝖘𝖞 𝖉𝖎𝖉’𝖘𝖙 𝖙𝖍𝖔𝖚?…

You thank the figure, who returns with another silent knightly bow, and head off along the path shown. Your courage and perception have rewarded thee with an item, and the rare favour of a knight of Autumn. Thy journey continues for a few hours before thy notice a structure looming into view above the treetops. Thy heart beats heavy for a moment, thinking this mayest be the hags keep, but are alleviated somewhat to find something else. A watch tower, ruined and ancient, standing defiantly against the encroach of the woodland. Your time is short before dusk, but mayhaps it is worth investigating this tower?

You could ascend, and seek a view from the tallest vantage, perhaps revealing better the journey ahead. You could rummage amongst its remnants within, searching for clues or items that could illuminate or aid you. Or you could press onward, ignoring the vestige of kingdoms fallen, and give thyself the best chance at finding a safe spot to rest…

Choose thy Adventure - 02. The Pisky & The Brute

Hail and well met Wanderers,

Thou hast spoken and fate thus bends to thine will. With this choice thou hast discovered a new creature that shall now take its place within the bestiary of Faerie: The Pisky

But let us delay no more, for Willow’s journey continues towards her goal, and closer towards the sound of saddened song…

“As thy feet move through twig and bracken toward the forlorn song, thine eyes fall upon a scene most peculiar…

An armour clad ogre or giant of some kind, easily 15 foot in height, dances exhaustedly in a small clearing ahead. Its singing mournfully echos beneath its heavy metal helm, broken only occasionally by what sounds like sobbing. It is watched from a nearby tree by a cheering pisky (a particularly mischievous form of pixie-kin) who weaves its hands magically in rhythm, maintaining an enchantment upon the dancing creature. Upon approach the pisky spots you, and flits from upon her perch down towards you.

The pisky cautiously exclaims that thou art welcome here, but not to interfere. She tells you that this lumbering brute was working for the hag at the heart of these woods until the pisky captured him in an enchantment. Should you not interfere with his punishment, the pisky promises she will point you in the direction of the hag and gift you a powerful lantern that will help you navigate the darker parts of the forest.”

WISE WITCH 
Willow is Perceptive, and knows much about the world. If thy wishes her to observe for a moment before deciding, simply comment as such below. If enough join you, more information may be revealed…

It seems thy hath spoken! Willow observes, and with her keen insight and perception is able to garner the following:

“The pisky seems eager for you to continue on your way, not so easily do faerie-kin oft offer their treasures. A glance at the dancing brute seems to reveal little, beyond a symbol that is only barely visible upon its now tarnished breastplate. The symbol is none other than the sigil of House Autumn, which either means this large warrior is a defector to the hag’s cause, or the pisky isn’t telling the whole truth…”

The fates have returned, thine choice is clear and thy decision resolute. The Witch shall enter the realm, guided by thine hand, and her title shall be now and forever more: Willow

As Willow ventures into the elder wood, the fates remind you that anything she discovers shall become part of the final book. Only by your guidance can these choices be made, and these new wonders discovered. Now read on without delay wanderer, for Willow’s first choice lies before her…

“You awaken, thine eyes groggy and thy muscles sore, lying on the forest floor deep in a strange woodland. Your pack empty, you find a suitable branch to use in place of a staff, and stand. A circle of mushrooms surround you, it appears that by fate or by fortune you have wandered betwixt the worlds and stumbled into the realm beyond…

In your heart you feel the nature of your quest here revealed. You must find the decrepit keep at the heart of these accursed woods, uncover the hag that has taken residence within, and rid this realm of her foul magic once and for all. First you must find your bearings, but no path is trodden here nor signpost left. The air is thick with the smell of damp moss and ancient woodland, and the morning fog still lingers. With little to guide thy sight, you will have to rely on your other senses…

Two sounds catch your attention, one seems to be a small voice singing faintly a ballad most melancholy. The other is the sound of armour being jostled, punctuated only occasionally by deep and frustrated grunts.”
